Beloved by Ottawa audiences as a bass player of enormous versatility, John Geggie is a performer, composer, and teacher whose indefatigable energy and curiosity have made him a much sought-after participant in projects with some of the finest musicians in the country and beyond.

Now in its tenth season, the Jazz Geggie Series takes a nod from Prairie Scene and welcomes ex-pat jazz greats Kelly Jefferson, originally from Saskatchewan (tenor sax), and drummer Karl Jannuska, raised in Manitoba, to make beautiful music with Iceland’s Sigurdur Flosason (alto sax), and New York City’s Scott Wendholt, (trumpet).
