In its 24-year history, the WINNIPEG CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY has become one of Canada’s best-known and widely admired chamber ensembles, renowned particularly for the wonderfully connected approach that the musicians have, not only to the music, but to each other. Perhaps that’s not surprising, as four of the ensemble’s five energetic core members are also leading members of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

For this delightful recital, highly respected pianist David Moroz, WSO Concertmaster Gwen Hoebig, Associate Concertmaster Karl Stobbe, Principal Violist Daniel Scholz, and Principal Cellist Yuri Hooker are joined by WSO colleagues Meredith Johnson (Principal Bass), Bede Hanley (Principal Oboe) and Patricia Evans (Principal Horn) in a program of works by Schubert, Fesca, and Manitoba composer Patrick Carrabré.
