Soprano Ruth Moody, mezzo Nicky Mehta, and smoky voiced singer/songwriter/bass player Heather Masse are three extraordinary voices. With their incredible vocal harmonies and upbeat folk/roots/bluegrass sound, THE WAILIN’ JENNYS have quickly become festival favourites. They embarked on a blur of activity following the release of their second album, Firecracker, earning a second JUNO Award nomination, the continuation of a relationship with A Prairie Home Companion (Garrison Keillor’s popular National Public Radio show), and a memorable date alongside Rosanne Cash at the prestigious Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow.

Saskatchewan native Jill Zmud is an old-school romantic telling stories about the world and the heart. She combines rich vocals with instrumentation that includes her late 60s Fender Telecaster, a lonely piano and gospel choir harmonies. Jill’s debut album was described by Culture Magazine as “stark and satisfying... and addictive.”

"[The Wailin' Jennys] Quiet, warm, subtle, mellifluous, almost too good to be true."
